EMDR therapy.
Structured psychotherapy for PTSD and suitable trauma-related concerns, following appropriate assessment and preparation.
EMDR may not be suitable for everyone. The first appointment may involve assessment and preparation rather than trauma processing.
Spiritual care.
Respectful support for questions of grief, meaning, values, hope, faith and life transitions. Religious belief is not required.
Clinical supervision.
Individual clinical supervision for students, provisional members and practising helping professionals.
Eligibility for student and provisional rates may require confirmation before the appointment.
Group supervision.
Structured professional reflection with other practitioners. Select an available group session and check the schedule in the client portal.

Organisational and onsite fees are subject to location conditions and specific service arrangements. Please obtain confirmation before arranging an onsite session.
A 10-session package.
SHM offers a 10% discount on the normal session fee when a package of 10 sessions is paid upfront in one payment.
Each session is 60 minutes. Please enquire to confirm package suitability, the current total and applicable package conditions before payment.

Can I pay for an appointment online?
Use Book & Pay to open the SHM Client Portal. Select an available service and follow the payment options offered during booking.
Is my appointment confirmed when I submit an enquiry?
No. Sending an enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Follow the appropriate appointment and payment confirmation process.
Can I choose online or face-to-face sessions?
Where available, you can select the appropriate appointment format. Some services are subject to clinical suitability and individual arrangements.
Why might the portal show a different price?
Prices may be updated, appointment types may differ, or special arrangements may apply. Please contact SHM if the fee shown in the portal does not match the published fee before proceeding with payment.
Do I need a GP referral?
A GP referral is generally not required for privately funded counselling or psychotherapy. Some funding arrangements have different requirements.
What if I am not sure which service to book?
You can make an enquiry before booking. A brief description of the service or support you are interested in is a useful starting point.
