    👩🏻‍🏫 Instructor: Clinical, Counsellor & Psychotherapist, Phuong Tran

    With over 17 years of experience in providing psychological support and therapy to cancer and chronic illness patients, Uyen Phuong has worked at prestigious hospitals such as Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, Werribee Mercy Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, and Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has completed shadowing programs in psychological support for cancer patients at Massachusetts General Hospital (USA) and a fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital (Australia). In addition to offering psychological care, she provides emotional and spiritual support to both patients and healthcare professionals, helping them navigate the emotional challenges of their work. Uyen Phuong is well-versed in CBT, EMDR, DBT, EFT, and SFBT, applying these methods to help patients overcome anxiety, depression, and manage pain and grief throughout their treatment.

    Phuong holds a strong academic background with a Bachelor’s in Psychology specializing in Counseling, a Master’s in Clinical and Medical Psychology, and multiple certifications in Advanced Psychotherapy, Mental Health, and Palliative Care. She founded the non-profit program “Nang Cao Suc Manh Tinh Than” in Vietnam in 2007, providing psychological and spiritual support for cancer and chronic illness patients. She frequently returns to Vietnam to conduct training and present at professional conferences. She is also a member of PACFA, ACA, and a senior member of Spiritual Care Australia, offering clinical supervision in both Australia and Vietnam.
